We typically read one book per month and always have good discussions.

 

All are welcome to join the book club.  The club is planning a zoom meeting in March. If the group is small, the host may decide to meet inside at her home allowing for social distancing and with masks.  She will make sure all those that are signed up would be comforable meeting in person. Thank you for being mindful of your fellow members.

 

The March book is Last Bus to Wisdom by Ivan Doig.  This is the final book by Ivan Doig written in 2015.  According to the New York Times it is one of his best. It is Amazon's book of the year in 2015.

The primary character, Donal Cameron, age 11, is being raised on a Montana Ranch by his grandmother.  When his grandma needs surgery she sends him to her sister, Aunt Kate in Wisconsin. When the arrangement does not work out Kate puts him on a bus back to Montana. Kate's henpecked husband decides to go with Donal.The pair set out together on the bus, meet an ensemble of characters and have many misadventures along the way!
