Robert Winslow is an internationally known photographer with thousands of published images. He has a Master's degree in Biology and was a full-time faculty member at Idaho State University for 6 years teaching Outdoor Education and Wilderness Studies. He moved to Durango in 1981, and has been a full-time freelance photographer. His work has appeared in national ad campaigns by such diverse entities as Adobe, Amtrak, The National Audubon Society, The National Geographic Society, the Nature Conservancy, and Phillips Petroleum. He has won numerous awards including Grand Prize winner in the National Wildlife Cover Photo Contest, out of over 10,000 entries. He is also the First Place Winner in the Wildlife Category in the Outdoor Photographer's Magical Adventures Photo Contest.
For his talk, he is going to share stories from hiking the Appalachian Trail in its entirety in 1971, kayaking adventures, a flash flood adventure in the desert, and hiking the Colorado Trail last year (at 76!)
