Don Bruning is a NAV member living in North Dalton Ranch, and he has a wealth of knowledge. He received his Masters degree in Biology and PhD in Zoology from CU Boulder. He worked for 37 years for the Wildlife Conservation Society and conducted research and conservation projects around the world. He has worked in Malaysia, Indonesia, Peru, Argentina, Mauritius, and Papua New Guinea. It was in Papua New Guinea where he spent several weeks each year for 25 years studying and protecting Birds of Paradise. He worked on International Conservation efforts as a representative of North American zoos. He has taught at Fordham University, Manhattanville College, Columbia University, and CU graduate school. He is an excellent speaker, and we welcome him for this talk on birds of paradise.
