Message from the Board...
Along with the rest of our nation, state, and county, North Animas Village is ready to enter a cautious transition period as we withdraw from the COVID-19 lockdown. It may be realistic to expect a resurgence of the virus as people begin to get out more as well as in the fall/winter seasons, but for now we would like to “open up” slowly.
As many, if not most, of us are in the “high risk” age category, we must emphasize CARE and CAUTION. We must realize that the virus is not going away, and so as we begin to add activities to our calendar and allow volunteers to accept service requests if they are comfortable with that, we shall continue to take all necessary precautions: social distancing, mask-wearing, hand-washing, etc. Members, as well as volunteers, are asked to abide by the rules specified on our events lists and elsewhere.

The well-being of our Village community is our utmost priority. We ask for your patience and understanding as we readjust and tailor our programs and services to reduce our community’s risk of exposure to the COVID-19 virus.
The Social Team continues to be actively working on ways to stay connected in these challenging times. We have a couple of events in May that abide by social distancing guidelines. June will bring a new slate of events that include the element of social distancing. The events scheduled in June are tentative dependent on state directives. Check the website regularly for schedule changes.

We are North Animas Village, a member-driven non-profit organization offering services, information, and activities with the primary goal of enabling you to remain in your own home for as long as possible.
We offer to neighbors of all ages the opportunity to join us in creating a community where we support one another in an environment of neighbor helping neighbor.
We offer volunteer opportunities and services, recommended professional vendor lists, and enjoyable activities in a spirit of cooperation and camaraderie.
Our volunteers provide home maintenance assistance, transportation, personal support, pet care, technical assistance, and related services.
We research local businesses and resources for services that volunteers are unable to supply, procure group discounts when possible, and provide this information to our members.
We plan social, educational, and fitness activities for your enjoyment, and we endeavor to interact with caregivers and single residents to prevent feelings of isolation.
